TRS help Wotton Pool to dramatically boost energy efficiency

We were approached to carry out a large-scale roof replacement at Wotton Pool in Wotton-under-Edge. The task was to completely strip and replace an inefficient asbestos roof, and to help the building owners explore new ways of improving their energy efficiency.

Once the building’s original roof had been totally stripped back, we installed a black composite panel, which was later fitted with an intelligent heat recovery system. This improved the overall look of the site whilst adding value and serviceable life to the building.

In the time since the work was finalised, Wotton Pool has benefitted from a highly effective solar heating system which, in summer 2019 alone, helped the site save just over 10,000 kilowatt hours’ worth of electrical heating – equating to a monetary saving of around £1,000.
