What was the job?

The aim of this project was to completely strip and carry out a renewal of insulated flat roofs above the multiple live cinema screens of the Odeon Cinema in Bristol. This project required extra sensitive site management and communication skills from the entire team.

The safety of the public was our top priority throughout the running of this project. Due to working in the Broadmead shopping centre, a particularly busy city centre location, we ensured maximum protection and security at all times.

We erected a large and robust protection scaffold, and completed additional hours outside of our usual working day so as to avoid any disruption to cinema screenings.

Mission

To successfully remove the old roofing and entirely reroof and renovate the cinema using a torch-applied insulated Bauder felt system.

Challenge

To overcome limited access to the site and maintain a leak-free roof during the renovation process. Working closely with clients and reacting to landlords’ changing demands to limit any inconvenience to cinema visitors during opening hours.

Result

Successfully completed the project with limited inconvenience caused to staff and patrons during installation works. Lengthy guarantee on this and every TRS project.
