Getting it right
Farnham Leisure Centre
Roof correction to solve water ingress problem and insulation upgrade.
Pitched Asbestos Roof
What was the job?
TRS were approached by the client to provide costs and proposals to correct a continuing water ingress problem on the original roof installation. The project had a number of challenges – working on a fragile asbestos cement roof and over a fully functioning leisure centre, to name two. A special crane lift was also needed to accommodate the type of roof sheet and the fragile roof surface. Once final design was agreed, work was completed with no disruption to the leisure centre, and finished on budget and on time.
Correct continuing water ingress. Encapsulate bonded asbestos cement sheeting. Improve insulation values. Upgrade insulation.
Working over a fully operational leisure centre. Working on and dealing with the existing asbestos roof.
Corrected the water ingress problem on the roof and provided a corrective solution to ensure no further damage.
