Occupied units were given the same treatment, and businesses continued to operate from them as usual while TRS finished the project.

The work was completed in stages, ensuring it exceeded expectations and met everyone’s satisfaction. The estate’s overall look and feel has been transformed, and now all current occupants can work from fully refurbished units.

PRODUCT/SERVICE:
Overcladding

ROOF TYPE:
Asbestos roof

DESCRIPTION:
TRS replaced the asbestos roof of the Roche building at St. Peter’s School, Gloucestershire, upgrading it with a safer, more energy-efficient solution. Required to swiftly improve the roof’s thermal performance, we proposed to over clad the existing structure with Garland’s R-Mer Clad Metal Roof System.

This solution enabled the existing asbestos sheets to remain in place as work proceeded, allowing new insulation to be installed quickly and effectively. This meant the roof was delivered on time, and ready for pupils to start the new autumn term.

Overcladding

ROOF TYPE:
Pitched asbestos roof

DESCRIPTION:
Working directly with the landlord’s consultant, TRS were able to overclad a number of problem asbestos roofs, thereby offering a cost-effective waterproof solution with a life expectancy in excess of 25 years. The roof covering enhances the look of the building and improves the business tenant’s on-site profile. We were also able to incorporate the client’s colour scheme within the construction.

Overcladding allows for the upgrade of the thermal insulation values by the addition of loose insulation quilt and vapour control layers. Areas of existing translucent roof lights were maintained.
