Team TRS take on the world… Well a ½ Ironman triathlon and some Welsh hills!

TRS’s  Stuart Massey has proved that middle age and an affection for cider are no impediment to being fit!

Stuart and one of  his sons  Will  recently  competed in the Cotswold 113 triathlon,  which is  ½ Ironman distance; consisting of a 1.9 km swim, a 90km bike ride and a 21.1 km run.

So fit he can still smile, and sing, and dance...

Stuart’s times were:  Swim 45.07,   Bike 2.28.34,   Run 2.51.55: Total  time:  6 hours 14 minutes.

Will’s times were:  Swim 29.51, Bike 2.18.08,   Run 1.36.35. Total time:  4 hours 27 minutes. Great results all round.

Cider, all a man needs for fuel and celebration!

Not content with this achievement  team TRS have recently taken on the Welsh hills.  Over the course of 5 days they managed to cycle 496 km and climb 20,888 feet (two thirds the height of  Everest).

Team TRS depart for Wales-All TRS employees except one!

Day 1: Cromhall (home) to Brecon

Day 2: Brecon to Aberdovey

Day 3: Golf at Tywyn (Rest day)

Day 4: Aberdovey to Brecon

Day 5: Brecon to Cromhall (home).

Hills...What hills?

Needless to say they were lubricated along the way by a few pints of cider and some wonderful hospitality!

Pitched asbestos roof

Working directly with the landlord’s consultant, TRS were able to overclad a number of problem asbestos roofs, thereby offering a cost-effective waterproof solution with a life expectancy in excess of 25 years. The roof covering enhances the look of the building and improves the business tenant’s on-site profile. We were also able to incorporate the client’s colour scheme within the construction.

Overcladding allows for the upgrade of the thermal insulation values by the addition of loose insulation quilt and vapour control layers. Areas of existing translucent roof lights were maintained.
